Established in 1984, Adil Trading Co. LLC began with a simple mission to serve the Indian expatriate community in the UAE. Founded by Mr. Madhav Rao Datar and his son, Dr. Dhananjay Datar, the humble grocery store in Bur Dubai was built on a deep commitment to meeting the needs of its customers.

The name “Adil,” meaning righteous in Arabic, was chosen by Dr. Datar’s father as a tribute to the UAE, a land that gave them opportunity, hope, and a place to call home.

From that small beginning, Adil has grown into a 50-store retail powerhouse, delivering the authentic taste of India to millions across the UAE, Bahrain, and India, always with the customer at the heart of everything it does.

We opened our first store in Bur Dubai, UAE.

1990s

Expanded to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

2017

Reopened Bahrain’s iconic Yateem Centre outlet with Bollywood star Preity Zinta.

2019

Launched the Adil Store e-commerce website with the Mubarakan movie team. Launched 100 varieties of flours with Sunny Leone.

2021

Unveiled our 44th to 48th stores across DIP, JLT, Abu Dhabi, and Business Bay. Celebrated 50-store milestone across the GCC. Introduced eco-friendly and organic products.

2023

Enhanced our digital presence with mobile apps and delivery integrations.

Launching Masala King Exports in Mumbai opened the door to global exports, bringing our authentic flavors to the world stage.
